Discover the mythical tale of Lord Hanuman's birth - a story of strength, devotion, and divine powers.

Lord Hanuman, also known as the Monkey God, is one of the most revered deities in Hinduism. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Hanuman was born to Anjana and Kesari, who were both devotees of Lord Shiva. Legend has it that Anjana was an Apsara (celestial nymph) who was cursed by a sage to be born as a monkey in her next life. However, the sage also blessed her with the boon that she would be able to give birth to a son who would possess incredible strength and valor.

Anjana and Kesari performed intense penance to Lord Shiva to seek his blessings for a child. Pleased with their devotion, Lord Shiva appeared before them and blessed them with a son. It is said that Lord Shiva himself took the form of a monkey and blessed Anjana with a child who would be an avatar of Lord Shiva.

Anjana gave birth to a son who was named Hanuman. He was born with incredible strength, agility, and the ability to fly. As a child, Hanuman was mischievous and would often play pranks on the sages and saints who visited his father's ashram. One day, Hanuman saw the sun rising and thought it was a ripe mango. He flew up to the sky to catch it but was stopped by Lord Indra, the king of gods. A battle ensued, and Hanuman defeated Lord Indra's army. However, Lord Indra's weapon, the Vajra, struck Hanuman on the chin, and he fell to the ground unconscious.

Lord Hanuman's father, Kesari, was furious at the attack on his son and cursed Lord Indra that he would face a severe defeat in his next battle. Lord Indra realized his mistake and apologized to Hanuman, and granted him a boon. Hanuman asked for immortality and the ability to never be defeated in battle.
Thus, Lord Hanuman was born, and he went on to become one of the most beloved and powerful deities in Hindu mythology. He is worshipped as the epitome of devotion, loyalty, and strength, and is believed to protect his devotees from all evils and obstacles.
